It's hurting but it isn't working

More evidence that savage spending cuts aren't necessary but are ideologically driven

A new OECD report published today shows that Britain has the second lowest debt as a percentage of GDP of all of the G7 countries, however, this government is engaging in some of the most savage spending cuts. These deep and fast cuts have led to the UK being the only country being G7 with a contracting economy in the final quarter of last year, and to have the lowest growth prediction for this quarter. More evidence that this level of spending cuts aren't "necessary" but are ideologically driven; more evidence that the savage spending cuts aren't only harming public services but are stifling economic growth. Proponents of deep and fast cuts need to stop listening to Andy Coulson's spin and start looking at the facts.
